After signing up, complete your profile. Next create your first position type. You need to add at least one duty (the main duty) and one perk (free accommodation in a shared dorm or private room). Add as many details as possible so volunteers know exactly what to expect. Set your availability and wait for volunteers to send requests. Optionally you can upgrade to the pro plan and invite volunteers to your position as well.

Volunteers interested in your position will start sending your hostel requests. Ask them questions to see if they would be a good fit, and accept anyone that you want to come volunteer. If the person isn’t a good fit, decline the request so they know to send requests to other hostels.

Make volunteers feel at home and like they are part of the family. Remember they are in a new environment around all new people and will probably be pretty shy over the first few days. Set your volunteers up for success by clearly explaining their duties, house rules, and anything else they should know.
